Today is the 20th anniversary of the sarin attack on the Tokyo subway perpetrated by the religious group, Aum Shinrikyo. In a coordinated attack they released sarin, one of the most lethal chemical weapons ever created. To this day, survivors are still living with the after effects. Interestingly, the cult was not outlawed in Japan as it was elsewhere, like in Russia, and is still active. It's adherents today completely disavow the terrorist attacks and the group's leader at the time of the attack, Shoko Asahara.
