Math begins to get intimidating once we start adding letters. Luckily unknowns and variables didn’t scare the Babylonians, who experimented with linear equations, quadratic equations, and other staples of Algebra familiar to most high school students.
            The knowledge of algebra was forgotten and relearned over the ages, but what if the mathematical knowledge of ancient civilizations was never lost? What kind of advanced principles could have been explored in the middle ages if the knowledge was preserved and expanded on? The elementary school children in an alternate Earth might be doing calculus right now…
