Speculative #245: Past Life Perspectives

Whether or not you're religiously inclined, you have to admit, the idea of past lives is pretty cool.
Enter this kid in Ohio, who claims the memories of a woman who died in a fire years ago. Now, the story you write can go so many places. You can try telling it from his perspective. How would a child interpret memories that weren't his? At what point does the woman become conscious? You could even tell the story from the point of  view of a skeptic trying to disprove the child's subjective experience. Anyway you do it,  past lives are rich ground for themes centered on family, memory, and personal traumas.
