Speculative Fact #224: The Superintelligent A.I. Son Always Kills the Father (that would be us)

Some would say that the eventual replacement of human beings with A.I. is inevitable. Whether or not it is a peaceful regime change, like the debatable end of the neanderthal, remains a question.  According to Nick Bostrum, director of Oxford's Future of Humanity Institute (no, that is not a made up place), the odds don't seem to be in our favor.  
     In his opinion, it's not a question of if it will happen, but if we've got our act together by the time it does. And exactly how to control something, faster, stronger, a quantum leap more intelligent, and with the ability to be everywhere at once (thank you interwebs!)? There are so many ways this could play out in your story. Where was your character when the SSingularity happened? Or maybe you pull a Mary Shelley and tell your story from the point of view of the killer A.I.
