Speculative Fact #241: Just Happened to Find These Lying Around...

Remember that time we went scuba diving and found priceless gold and we DIDN'T keep it? Yeah, me neither. 


     However, that is exactly what some divers did off the coast of Israel at Caesarea National Park. At first they thought they had found a child's toy. When they realized they had actually found Fatimid period (eleventh century CE) gold coins, literally buried treasure, they returned it to the Israeli government. 
     For them, it looks like the adventure is over. But what if it were just the beginning?  What if your character didn't return the gold? What if somebody else had been searching for it? Somebody with the ability to change your character's life significantly? And who said this treasure had to be from a human civilization?
