Speculative Fact #322: Cats and Alien Cravings

One question we might have when we consider the ETs in our stories is – what do they eat? Maybe they have strict dietary needs or maybe they even like the taste of human. The aliens in District 9 went mad for cat food while the lovable Alf had a hunger for cats themselves.
            Speaking of cats – they have an odd tendency to sniff things like dirty laundry, smelly socks, and even worn underwear. Sweat (and even ear wax) might actually smell or taste good to your kitty because of the proteins and fats added to them, along with water, after they leave the apocrine glands.
            Maybe aliens have a soft spot for rotting vegetation . Maybe some aliens can even live in a symbiotic relationship with humans – subsisting off our waste while simultaneously grooming us. Dinner situations might be a bit awkward, but a love of food is universal.
