Speculative Fact #300: The Chinese Woman Warrior you Never Heard of but Should be a House Hold Name

PictureChing Shih was the basis for this character in Pirates of the Caribbean. There's a lot more to the story.
The pirate Ching Shih commanded 1,800 ships and 80,000 men,  dwarfing her more famous contemporary Black Beard who commanded 300 men and...um...four ships.

She's well known in China, but not so much in the West, though she made something of a cameo in "Pirates of the Caribbean."  Her story is a women's anti-hero's narrative; how to get power, keep power, and die rich.  It is high time she became a house hold name. Tell her story.
