Speculative Fact #209: The Jersey Devil

While it might not be one of the more popular monsters, the cryptid known as the Jersey Devil had the inhabitants of rural New Jersey (Pine Barrens) living in fear up until the early nineteen hundreds. The Jersey Devil earned so much fame it became a kind of state mascot and has a hockey team named after it!
Many terrifying creatures might be based on some old folklore or local urban legend. If you do some research into your hometown’s past, what kind of interesting beasties rear their eerie heads?
